COVID-19; Global Index

Coronavirus or COVID-19 erupted from Wuhan, is now a biggest threat to human kind. The intensity of coronavirus is increasing day by day. It is a persistent threat to many nations of the world, may be entire world. The reported cases are increasing on daily basis. World Health Organization has not yet revealed any positive development regarding COVID-19 vaccine. The whole world is on stand still, analysts see a major famine in near future. The lockdown in many countries has restricted people to their homes, leaving behind their social and economical life. It looks like there is no end to this virus because of ratio of infection and deaths. However the death ratio is low, but the infection and reinfection chances are high. It means we may develop temporary immunity against this virus, but reinfection threat lies rest of the life.

Economic Conditions of world

The economic conditions of all the countries around globe are worsening day by day. Let's take the example of United States, US is under total lockdown. Reports coming from US are alarming and life threatening. The infection and deaths by corona may be limited but this can cause mass starvation due to lack of food items. Imports and exports are highly affected, every country is combating against this virus using all its available resources. According to a report, more than 250,000 confirmed cases have been announced. This ratio is far larger than the origin of virus itself, China.
Iran has never sought any loan from IMF last six decades, is trying to get IMF loan. You may get a better idea about the impact on economy.  The long term effects of the virus on Chinese economy may be evaluated by following things;
  • Many countries have rejected Chinese shipments
  • Chinese industrial products are thoroughly sprayed with disinfectants
  • Food items shipments from China have been banned
  • Chinese market is drowning slowly,
  • Chinese neighbors and friend countries like Pakistan have also put ban on Chinese edible items

Disturbed Social Life

Coronavirus has largely affected social life of humans, it changed the way humans used to meet. Handshakes and hugs are banned in any public place. A minimum of 5 feet distance is mandatory in shops, malls or stores. The densely populated areas like slums may not follow social distancing practices because of dense population. It is a hard task for authorities to cope up with challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.
